How to keep CB magnet mount from scratchin paint?

CB's are great when several cars are running together and some distance gets between them.

I have a CB ant. on my Prowler mounted to the trailer hitch, but there are times we have had about 100 cats running together

On my truck I use super clear packing tape and put it on the paint and then stick my magnetic ant. on it

I have bought so many small hand held and still don't have a good pair out of all of them

I think I would see about the connector to use the stock car radio ant. for the CB
