318 Head Gasket Size?

Summit has on their website Mopar small block cylinder head gaskets in bore sizes 3.625", 3.75", 4.02", 4.06", 4.14", and 4.18". The gaskets also are available in various compressed thicknesses. What cylinder head gaskets should I order for a stock 1976 318 with a lot of miles on it? The motor has never been rebuilt.

I think the 4.06 is what's generally used. I just wanted to add that while a thin gasket will get you a little more compression, if your just R & R ing the gaskets and not surfacing the heads or block you better stay on the thicker side to be safe. I would probably go at least in the .039 range or maybe a hair more. You really should straight edge both surfaces to see how much there out, and they will be out some. Just my opinion, i'm sure you'll get others.
