Buying new tires thinking about going to a mt drag radial i run Hoosier quick time pro what kind of a difference is there car is tubbed with ladder bars i drive it a lot on the street the car runs in the 11s
 
I ran my best times with M/T drag radials; 6.94 (1/8 mile) and a 1.4550 60ft. I have Caltracks and mono leafs. My experience is that drag radials do not recover well at launch, you spin you're doomed, they like a preped track. Because of that, I've gone (for the moment) to Hooser slicks.

Your results may vary.
 
M/T drag radials are roughly 10 lbs heavier a tire than the quicktimes. I just switched from the M/T's to Hoosiers.
 
I just started using a new set of the Nitto 555s and these things grab some nice.Not sure about durability though as they are a very soft rubber compound.
 
I have a couple of friends that have them. They get them to hook, but they seem pretty touchy about how the track is prepped and air pressure. Just my two cents.
 
I had a set of Nitto 555s for street use,got about 8000 mi out of them
 
I think most drag radials last pretty good hoosiers wear a little quicker but need less burnout however just remember radials dont like big burnouts and niether does ur wallet thats a fact
 
I've used both the M/Ts and the Nittos. The M/Ts hooked up better for me and are a softer compound than the Nittos. Both hook up better than a standard street radial and IMHO the Nittos are a better all around street tire that are less twitchy on wet pavement.

That said, my Duster is a fair weather car and I would probably go with M/Ts if I was buying a pair of tires today.
 
I love my M/T streets, They hook like crazy on the street. 1.7 60 ft. on a slippery track. stock suspension & no converter.
 
I use M/T drag radial and they work well. 1.57 60 fts with a295/55/15, but I have heard good things about the quick time pros.
 
I have heard the same thing about the et street radials ... They do not like to recover like a slick .
Also .. I have gone thru a pair of each >>> m/t et streets , M&h racemasters dot slicks and the hoosier qtp's.
I Prefer the hoosiers qtp's the BEST overall. compaired to all the other street slicks .
I runs a early dart ragtop ... runs low 11's quarter mile .......... 1.50 60ft. carries Both front wheels out !!
here is what I run ... hoosier 15x10.5x27 love them !!
Of Course >>>>> everything depends on how your car is set and how much HP you make .

anyone have a cheap used set of 15 x10 drag radials i don't race my truck but would like to make a few passes to see how it runs

want the tires because i drive a 2002 dakota 5.9 R/T with a kenne Bell supercharger 9lbs boost street tries won't hold
 
I would stick to the Hoosier QTP's if you want the best results at the track (that is what I use); however, in your case you could probably use either tire and be fine. I don't think your car is fast enough to be too picky on tires (not bashing, just sayin)...heck, the less rolling resistance might make the radial faster down track for ya. Does you car still run high to mid 7's in the 1/8?
