air gap vs ld 340

OOPS I was thinking performer I guess .
It happens, no big deal.
..but the LD340 is hysterical...oops,.historical!
i think the trip from the carb 3 or 4 inches to the intake valve was figured out 40 years ago.
The LD340 is slightly shorter then the RPM intakes so the runner have less height but are about the same length as the RPM's. The RPM's runners are slightly straighter. The runners on the LD340 are also larger. It is Minor thing.
does any one know the exact rpm range of ld 340 intake
Agree with AdamR on that. I would have guessed 2-6 or 2.5-6.5 area.
MoPar tested the intake a good bit back in the day as so to determine its performance ability and level. In the end, MoPar thought the intake well enough to sell through there own Direct Connection line and had a list of cams to use with it.

At one point, due to rules of road racing demanding a Dual plane intake, they modified it for use with a TQ carb and a milled center divider for More plenum and RPM range.

They recommended "for use with cams over .550 lift" which back in the day ment a pretty large cam. It would equal approx. a cam starting at about 250* in duration @ .050 at a min. And that is getting to be a sizeable cam.
