Insurance and swaps.

I don't live in California, thank god, and where I live in Colorado there are no emissions anymore.
My question is, if I swap a hemi 5.7 into my dart.
How do I get insurance to cover it? Say I have $5000 tied up in that hemi, I don't want to have to eat it if I wreck, insurance will want to replace the 318 or s6, but not a hemi....

Also, say I move to California. How can I drive my dart? What about emissions?
Obviously the worst running hemi is gonna beat a 71 s6 on emissions.
But will the swap even be allowed? Or do u have to reclassify the car or something?

Thoughts and opinions?
as to the insurance get collectors insurance. have to have a policy on a daily driver to get it. as to the CA. question the simple answer would be not to move there. i know that when they rolled out the IM test in AZ it was not a big deal, they went off the year of the car not the motor. in another words, if you swapped an obd II motor into a 72 Dart they just used the 72 emissions/equipment standards, which means that no cat/egr/vapor recovery was needed. was told that CA requires all of the equipment that the transplanted motor came with form the factory. don't know how true it is, a former co-worker was the person who told me this after he moved to CA.
