Many are probably wondering, as I am, why are you so intent on keeping your existing wheels, to the point of changing the whole spindle assembly. Is it to keep a classic look? You can get 17" aluminum wheels in SBP now fairly affordably (see posts). That would be cheaper and simpler and would clear any calipers, so much that your brakes might look too small in there and people would make jokes that you are under-endowed.
