Strike 3....

Hi rrvolare, this is the same setup I put on my 68 cuda, like you I wanted to keep my SBP and also run the original 14" wheel covers, I used my original master cylinder, so I went with the W153 kit (I'm running power brakes) Keep in mind I didn't have my rims custom made to accommodate this conversion kit, just for the purpose of getting wider tires on the front and back.
The individual you talked to at SSBC should have been a bit more specific inregards to this kit working on 14" steel wheels. SSBC should state will work with 14" rims with some slight modifcations. Like I previously mentioned in my earlier post, I had to realign the small section of brake line going into the calipers and use 1/4" spacer plates on each side. Modifications I felt in my opinion were very minor and no big issue, unless of course your not a fan of spacer plates on the car.
Then I would suggest one of the following:
-14" rally rims which others on here suggest will work with no mods.
-15" rims then there should be zero issues
- Do not buy a SSBC conversion kit, source out one that is 100% guaranteed to require no modifications for your application.
