For Sale - 1964 Dodge Dart GT. $5000 - Pasadena, CA
It still has the original 225 slant 6 with push button automatic (Runs and shifts very well). The color is PP-1 Red (DT-3180/71203), and 98% of the paint is original. The interior is also red. The seats are in great condition. The rear seat piping (bottom half of seat is coming off. Seat is not tearing, just the piping coming off. The headliner has a small rip near the back seat, but is in great condition otherwise. The dash is uncut, and everything works (speedo, gas, alt, etc). Radio is original and works.
I bought this car from an elderly woman in Santa Monica who claims it had been in her family its entire life. The car has door dings on the driver side, and it looks like the old lady slid the passenger side on the garage door opening on the passenger side in the area in front of the rear tire. I have pulled out a lot of the pushed in area (to get the big tires to fit), but there is still some areas you can see. The car also has various little dents and dings from life as a grocery getter.
The car has new brakes all around. The car was featured in HotRod in a feature called, "Hot Rod to the Rescue".
Here is a link to the article. Needless to say, the brakes are 100% sorted. Marlan is a great guy, and it was fun to go through this process...
The rear end is a narrowed "C" body housing. I had Sutton Engineering narrow the housing to 51.25 WMS to WMS. It has a new Green Bearing Maxi-Kit from Cass at Dr.Diff. The rear brakes are 10x2.5, the axles are re-splined C body axles with 3" studs. The pinion is set to -4 degrees. The housing has 3.91 gears, and is currently a peg-leg.
The rear rims are 15x10 Welds with 5" of backspacing. The rims are drilled out for screws. The tires are 315x60x15's and have a little bit of life in them. They probably need replaced before you do anything serious with the car. I always planned to buy new tires once everything else was sorted out.
The fronts are 15x3 (I think) Welds with skinnies. The tires are rims are in great shape.
The car has Mancini Super Stock springs, and the Mancini spring relocation kit.
Here is a link to the build thread detailing the mini-tub process.
I am selling the car because I need to focus on other things. The car is located in the Pasadena CA area. I am asking $5000, which I think is a very fair price for a car in this condition, not to mention all of the extras...
