Luck at the junkyard part deux
Well, my luck may be changing folks. After a few weeks of seemingly bad luck with the Swinger project, some good fortune smiled on me today. Bad440 & I had to pull one of my new 302 heads off of the 318 because a Helicoil failed in it. It was off in no time flat & I took it to the shop that did the machine work, M&M Cylinder Head. Mike at M&M was great, He said come pick it up today after 3pm and don't worry about any charges. sweet.
After dropping off the head for repair, Badd440 & I hit the boneyard to see what we could find (Big public thanks to Mike/Badd440 for all his help recently, great guy!). I checked for a 26" fan shroud since, in a rookie move, I destroyed mine while jacking up the block. But we had no luck on that front. Checked for replacement battery cables since mine are at the end of their life, again no luck.
I crawled under every Jeep Cherokee, Dodge Dakota & any other car that even had a slim chance of having an 8.25" rear end in it ('95 & older only). I had just about had my fill of rancid gear lube until I pulled a tag off of a '93 Cherokee rear and saw this SureGrip carrier. My run of bad luck may very well be over!
