If that's the case it should have the bolt on U joint flange

First thing I'd want to find out is whether or not it's the 3:1 low gear which is somewhat weaker than the norm. Bear in mind that before the 18 spline came along, and indeed before the rear slip yoke came along, they put max wedges and 64 hemis in front of those boxes.

the ball and trunion is 65 and older ....and is a very stout unit ....but the driveshaft can become a problem bcoz you might have to make one to fit your car ....not easy on that type of drivshaft
