new to me 66 dart.....

-
Welcome! Another 66 Dart. They're starting to multiply! Please feel free to post photos and descriptions of your ride on the 66 Dart post. The link to the thread is just below. We'll talk soon. toolmanmike

To get things started, 66's came with 273's so a 318, 340,or 360 will also fit without major modifications. If you switch to a v-8 you will need engine, trans, driveshaft, and rear end. You will also need a steering center link for a v 8 along with brackets cross members and the like. A larger radiator is usually needed too. There are a lot of helpful people here that have the parts and knowledge you need. Someone is always parting out a car for you to get pieces from. Hang around and ask questions and have fun. tmm

Welcome! If hopping up the /6,check out Memikes thread. After that,a v8 swap,or turbo would be the next choices.

Welcome. Thats a very clean looking car you have.

I work in Torrance and live close by. If you're interested, the South Bay Mopars club meets the first Saturday of every month at Hof's Hut. People start showing up at 8:30 AM and we go in for Breakfast and the meeting at 9:00 AM.

welcome! Mine started out with the 6 but soon had a 360 in it and was running strong. Small block is an easy swap and even a warmed over 318 will make it run good.

Will try to remember that, would like to see what else is out there locally.
