Converter brand, cost$$$$ and how close was req. stall

Only reason I ask is T/A's 8" converters go up BIG TIME in price from a non trans brake 8" to a trans brake 8"...close to 1k for the trans brake one

back in 1983 there were no transbrake...so no it is not...i have 2 more TA converter in use and they are not transbrake converter either...

i use a two step which hold the starting line rpm around 3000 rpm..no different then foot braking and then the converter is allowed to flash upon launch.
