Show Us Pictures of 2nd Generation Barracudas

Here is some cool pictures from Europe along with the text explaining them - From Toplscuda's fishing hole...

I noticed that you had recieved a picture from one of the members in the Swedish Barracuda Registry, Rolf Sjoholm. I don't know if Rolf told you anything about the car, but here are some interesting facts:
  1. It's one of many "Swedish" Barracudas built in Rotterdam, Belgium. This was the plant that built most of the Chryslers sold new in Europe in the sixties and seventies. To what extent the cars really were "built", I don't know. I would guess that the bodies came fully assembled (called body-in-white) only painted with primer and then put upon the assembly line for completion according to the Europe-specs (meaning always has disc brakes, heavy duty suspension, etc...).
  2. The car has a 273 2-barrel engine under the hood. If you were to ask Galen Govier about it, he will say that that combination doesn't exist as the 318 was the base V8 from 1968 and the 340 was the base FormulaS car. But not in Europe!! Here we have a lot of rare cars .... how about a 1968 Fastback w/225 slant six and 4-speed ???? , Yes, that is also a "one-of-none" car that another member in our registry owns. Galen has to update his "white books" I think, adding some new combinations in the sections for production figures.
  3. And, I don't know if you noticed, but....... Rolf's car also has a SUNROOF ........... that was a FACTORY OPTION possible from the Rotterdam plant !! Until now, I've only ever seen two Barracudas (Rolf's + one '69 Fastback Formula S) and one '69 Satellite with this option and they really look nice. Wouldn't that be a trio of great cars to bring to Chrysler's @ Carlisle or the Mopar Nationals's ??

I'm enclosing a couple of pics showing Rolf's car and the sunroof.
