What was the ultimate "normal production" factory A Body?

A 'sleeper'

Was the 1967 Barracuda Fastback with the 383/280 HP.

Weighed in at #3202 lbs., and in 1967 fit nicely into D/S (11.30 - 11.88 Wt/HP) with
an 11.44 factor.

In 1968, they were classed in G/Stock, if you could find one at the track.

From the factory, the Carter AFB 525 CFM was purposely under-sized, and the
exhaust piping was just flat out horrible.

Once, you figured out the carburetor, and found someone in the United States that
could make a good set of 'tuned headers', they could run very well.
