Shooting at a local school

I just read that it is at least 18 kids as well.. but then in the actual article they say 'undisclosed number of children'... this is insane! They're also reporting that the gunman was the father of one of the students there.. and that the principle and school psychologist are among the dead.. the world becomes a crazier and more unpleasant place every day.. i am just sick over this
 
So sad, such a cowardly act! My prayers for all involved.
 
Pretty soon your kids will need to wear full body armor just to go to school! There has got to be a way to secure schools better than we are doing. No one should be allowed to enter the school after class starts without going through some sort of pat down or special approval, especially adults. Even if you're a parent of one of the students or not, these kids need to be better protected. Imagine these parents who just this morning put their kids on a school bus thinking they would be safe and that they would see them tonight. I can't begin to imagine how they are feeling right now. Terrible and tragic!

What the **** is wrong with people.

Shooter was a 20 year old with ties to the school. Supposed to be a second suspect in custody.
 
at the schools in my area, once school has started you must check in at the main office before being allowed to go anywhere regardless of who you are. our high school has a security shack that is the only point of entry once the gates are closed and has several armed security guards and cops patrolling everyday. i live directly across the street from an elementary school and they lock all doors except the one in front of the office so that no one can get in without being seen.
i personally believe that every honest and good man in this country should have the right to shoot people like this. we hear about people killing the innocent everyday so why cant the innocent kill them once they prove their guilt by committing the act?
like charlie daniels said "take em out in the swamp take a short piece of rope, tie em to a stump and let the rattlers and the gators do the rest"
screw them saying their mentally ill and didnt know what they were doing and then live a comfy life in the mental health ward, or sit on death row for ten years. i guarantee anyone advocating that the death penalty is wrong would change their mind if their kid was in there today. i guarantee that i wouldn't hesitate to kill him had one of my little nephews or niece been in that school.
 
You have to ring a bell for the office to unlock the door to let you in in CT. Doesnt mean he didnt break in.

This is one of the reasons that my wife and I have been considering home schooling our son. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected.
 
all of this is horribly depressing. prays sent to all involved i will definitely home school my children. i think im going to log off for awhile now.
 
What The F### is Wrong with people???!!! Makes me ill reading this! I am hundreds of miles away from this & I just want to go Home & Hug my 2 kids.
 
I'm just so saddened by all of this shooting crap going on. A Elementry School of all places..(I just don't get it). Adam, thank god your children are safe in your arms. My prayers go out to all families envolved across the boarder.
 
I live about an hour away or so.... how very sad. 27 confirmed dead, 18 childern, ( kindergarden age) and 9 adults and possibly more. The shooter shot his father in NJ this morning and then apparently drove to Conn. and shot his mother ( who was a teacher there) and then opened fire on an entire classroom of kids. Unbeliveable.
 
Adam, I'm so very glad to hear, your childern are safe! This whole situation makes me angry and sad all at the same time........it so sad that we are not safe anywhere any more.

His mother and father both dead. His younger brother in custody. Theres another body found at his mothers home.

Cant even begin to imagine what those parents are going thru... OMG

I'm clear over in oregon and I want to go get my 3 step kids and go home to my 14mnth old son, what a bastered it's to bad they didnt aim low this scum should have had to live with this for ever in a max prison for life getting what should have been coming to him for such a horrible act. Glad your family is ok Adam.
 
I just can't frickin believe this...WTF??!?!?! How can someone do this!!!???? :(:(:(:( So very sorry for the children and all the families involved...I will be praying...

Guy was 24, mom worked at the school.

Whack job, I have 2 kids and man, it just makes you think.
