advantage of filling a block

Depends on what you are doing. My motor is 8 years old and sees street duty several times a month. I'm in the south so a little more in the warm weather. This 340 block (372) motor makes 540 HP at 6500 and it's shifted at 7000. I can't count the times this motor has seen 7000. It also has a girdle and H beams. What I have found through researching is the block filler helps stabilize the lower part of the cylinders from distorting. Don't have any data except a motor that has been the most reliable I have ever owned and gets regular abuse. :violent1:
