Is there anyway to convert a AC heater box to a non-AC heater box? i have a 74 duster that i removed to AC unit and i have 2 heater boxes. just wondering. also open to and trades. im in the STL area in IL.

Kirby. I have the original one out of my 68 but I could not say if it is compatible or not with your car. Maybe someone user on here would know If it would work we could work something out I a sure

I know that in early A's, the firewall was different between AC and non-AC cars, so the heater hose holes would be in different places. Maybe they consolidated that by 1973, since most cars then probably came with factory AC. If the extra size isn't a concern, you might remove the AC evaporator from your box to save weight, and lock the climate doors to the non-AC position.

I know through 72 they were different firewalls because I helped a guy find one to fit his.
