Hi Doogster, just another inquiry about you possibly knowing anything more on that green 72 Swinger 340 Special. Would love to know anything that might come to mind because it might be quite the find - a possible rare Western Canadian car. Any help would be awesome as to its where abouts. Thanks in advance. Cliff

Just spotted that one as well Cliff, did the 72's come with that style of seat?

I'm assuming you're talking about the red one in the third picture? That's actually a 72. You can tell by the horizontal indicator lights next to the headlights. In 73, they were vertical. And yes, there is an uglier front end. The 74-78 Mustang II.

I believe I know the owner and I believe it's a clone. Not positive though...these are a couple of years old and I haven't seen the car around for awhile. I'll ask around.

Someone in the know says he knows it's more than likely a clone - just as Doogster suggests. What made me think, even tho the interior wasn't right, was the positioning of the 340 emblem behind the marker lights. No one knew this until only a few years back and that position for the emblem was only found on these rare '72 Swinger 340's.
