Slant Six headers and 4 barrel Intake

Yeah, them hedders like like Clifford. Anybody catch the 'Clifford' manifold. I was looking to see an Offy??? I see by the thread that this stuff has been sold. Somebody got a good deal I guess. I have seen stuff like this before and one thing puzzles me. Since there is not much gain in short hedders and they are duals and they go back into one I cant imagine much gain with this setup. My question is why go to all the trouble to have split hedders only to run single exhaust and not duals to the back?? Thats what I am gonna do with my car and I have long tube Hookers. I am in hopes of a little better power and a real nice sound too.

If SS Dan is still on here these days, you should pm him and ask your question to him. I was pointed out the advantage of a 2 piece header Y-pipe combo a long time ago on the /6 forum and I'll be damn if I remember the reason but I was told it's better than the complete dual exhaust arrangement. But either way, a 3" outlet is way too big. Single exhaust slants should never see over 2-1/2" exhaust and duals 2-1/8" or else you loose exhaust gas velocity and scavenging.

I must point out that Flowmaster doesn't make /6 headers. I know of only 3 companies that make 2-piece headers. Clifford (in the picture as being sold), Hooker's Super Comp line and Aussie Speed.

I must also question why some people ventured to ask why it would have an O2 sensor on the rediculously long Y-pipe. If somebody had the money to sink into ceramic coated headers then why wouldn't it be plausable that the car had fuel injection? That Clifford intake could've had a 4 barrel throttle body on it. If you notice the intake has bosses to drill for Fuel injectors had somebody taken the route of Multi-Port Fuel injection rather than Throttle Body injection or a carburetor which isn't a revelvant point outside of the fact that it supports my theory of aftermarket fuel injection being possible.

Either way, this dudes sales tactic sucks. "Hey who wants to buy this? Got a few takers...... OH TOO BAD!!! I sold it on E-bay." Shame....

EDIT: I gained the exhaust info through www.slant6.org when I said the /6 forum, I realized that was missleading cause we have one on here.
