Show Us Pictures of 2nd Generation Barracudas

Hey MeMike!

1957 was a great year. I too am 55 years young.

Pics of my first time drag racing, only two years ago. My fish scared the crap out of me that first run...

Ma Snart
I wish I could have seen that first run :D
I bet you did not breath from the time you staged in to the time you
hit 121 mph and then that big grin hit your face :blob::D
I was about 18 or 19 when I was racing my 70 Teen Barracuda but I was a pit and
VHT line worker for Cowboy (forgot his real name) Larry Pace drove his 70 chevel for him, what year had the round tail lights in the bumper :help:
Well Cowboy would let me do a dry run now and then and the car was was a 6.50 1/8 car (dry run = slow jog down the track to get lubed from sitting in the tailor) and coming back on the return lane was a blast ( my friends seeing me behind the wheel of this best) was so cool.
Cowboy was a cool old guy with $$ and feed us and paid our expenses to other tracks Like Mertile Mississippi (I55 race way back in the day) was allot of fun.. The day he said these words I could not believe it. Mike suit up you are driving this Sunday :smilebox:
I knew the program and always wanted to drive a fast car, so not over heating the tires up or burning all the VHT off was easy, Larry always said the car will hook just a bit to the right but it seemed to launch strait :coffee2:
It drilled me in my seat and when my shift light Yellow came on Banged second (2 speed hydroglide) and the Finnish line was just a blur :happy2:
I have never been faster then a 6.38 1/8 mile and it was in a chevy and not mine......... I bet you love it and can't get enough of it now :coffee2:

Did my first Hard pass scare me---- Hell yea, but after that first soft pass of a 7.13 I could not wait to grab a good light and get after it again
What a great time in my life :coffee2:
