Pulling Slant 6 Without Removing Transmission

A nylon strap around the torsion bars would have supported the trans in nearly its original position and allowed some movement too. I guess that doesn't help now.
it will come apart eventually. Fighting it back together might be just as much fun.
The thing to remember when going back together is draw it straight working around evenly. If you use 1 or 2 bolts to draw them together you could crack your bell housing.
