What have I gotten myself into?
Dude, your car is as trick as can be.... with or without it being chopped. My 2cents.
Yeah and I'm at a point now where I'm saying to myself I think that's enough. I've touched every panel except the (huh I'm thinking here and I can't think of one I didn't touch) the roof skin itself. I need to draw a line in the sand and say enough is enough and commit to finishing. The last week has taught me that I'm going the right way and doing something most would look at an admire.
I had a moment today on Facebook and I'll share it here. I have a band that I've listened to since I was a freshman in high school. They were my first tattoo, the band I listen to when I'm down in the dumps, the band I blast while I weld and bend and shape. I have befriended one of the members of the band and I'm sure he knows I'm a hardcore fan. Today he said he wished he had started talking to me a few years ago because he had an old jag XJ12 that needed some serious work , but, he didn't know anyone that knew wtf they were doing, yet after looking at my pictures of what I've been doing he would have asked me to do his resto. He also said if he gets another one I'm the first person he will be contacting to build it. So someone I idolize thinks my work is good enough for him. That made my week, month, year.
My point. I have accomplished my goal of self redemption with this project, and, created something I hope will inspire others to get up and get in the garage no matter how much someone tells you your not good enough and shouldn't touch a car ever again(different story different day)
