Turning crank journal down for 2.10 rods

Hello all,

I have a Mopar performance 3.79" forged 1053 crankshaft. I have just made a deal on a set of 6.125 Oliver billet rods. Will turning the 1053 crank down to the 2.1 rod journal have much af a negative effect on its strength? Will the crank need to be nitrided, or re surface hardened after it has been turned? The rods have a .940 big end width, so I am assuming the crank journals will also need to be widened to accomodate the new bearings, am I correct? For a hot street strip application will the 1053 crank still be sufficient for a 550-600 hp engine after it is turned .0250? The engine is naturally aspirated. Would I be better of buying a K1 4340 crank ready to go with chevy journals? Can anyone direct me to a good crank shop in Alberta Canada?
