fast01 cool build you got going on.but whose kit did you use to put the 4l80 in your car or did you piece it together your self? thats something i want to do to my big block dart when i get the money.
Thanks Mopar65! It's been a long road, but there's finally a light at the end of the tunnel. I pieced the 4L80 swap together myself. I bought the adapter bell, flexplate and starter spacer from Quick Time Performance who Lakewood now owns. Chris at CK Performance Racing Transmissions is a good friend of mine, he built the 4L80 with a full manual forward pattern valvebody, all billet internals, a transbrake, cut off the factory bell and installed the adapter. I had a custom billet multi-disc lock-up converter built by Joe at Pro-Torque and the guys over at Speedway Performance (Long Island) modified the floor, floor bracing and fabbed the crossmember. When I started this project there was no "kit" available and even if there was, I'm not sure I would've gone that route anyway. I certainly wouldn't pay the kind of money they're looking to get for it!
