from after reading this article regarding these old school cams .. I'm thinking that maybe my cam may have been switched over the years.. I do know that a preivious owner did race my dartcharger way back then ... another reason being ........ this engine loves to rev over 7 grand with ease ,, but will like a kitten. one more reason is , it will have NOOOOOOO problem hangin with my buddies duster and dart 340/360 with a mild cam, headers ,750 carb and 3:91 gears.
here s alittle video of my 273 reving 5k and not even touch the secondaries .. that's nothing .. it tachs up sooo fast ..
I have a pertonics ign with a rev limiter set at 6500 and a tack hooked up too,, to confirm the rpms .. soooooooo.. It's not a joke ..... engine is a freak ! it revs !!
i'm thinkin it may have one of those cams you tested.
