I agree, SS springs and a snubber with a small gap (3/4" or so) and you will have much less wheel hop. They have worked together for more than 40 years......
My Dart Sport (408 / 4 speed / 3.55 sure grip) with home brewed stiff springs (re arched, extra leafs) and a pinion snubber never had wheel hop, with street tires, drag radials or slicks, and would pick up the front right tire.
