Got my Popular Hot Rodding magazine in the mail on Friday and they have a 3 page article talking about the 2015 SRT Cuda. supposedly it will have an all new 6.2 hemi blown with approx. 700hp price $80,000. They say it will be the new branch of mopar the SRT so all us mopar faithful will be less pissed that they didn't call a dodge cuda, what you all think??
or is this old news to most of you...Supposedly they are bringing the Dakota back in 2015 also.

i just never liked the fact that dodge resurected these names ,,, hemi , challenger , charger dart etc... they are huge mopar history and its not important to bring them back on other platforms whatever ,,, a lot of people doesnt realize that a challenger is nothing more than a chrysler 300 , and its twice bigger than the original , nothing beats the REAL car.. and when i drive the cuda the people they freak out , theres challengers everywhere now ... what a shame.... new cudas ? no thank you

$80,000 Wow. They won't sell many at that price. To compete with the Mustang and Camaro, it needs to be half of that.

Leave it dead and gone damn maybe if thay brung back plymouth . But a Dodge cuda ? dose that sound right to any one lol . Or even Dodge barracuda lol As for the dakota being brung back who the heck cares the last good looking dakota was the 96 that just what i think no hate letters plz lol

I'm just kind of left wondering: When are they going to become trendsetters again? You know...benchmarks and revolutionary and all that.

Give me a striped down fast car give me a CD player and Am and Fm....thats all the car needs none of the ipad/pod hook up crap . Ac who needs Ac in a 700 hp monster 100 mph windows down lmao

Even at half, they're still not exactly competitive. I looked at a 2012 5.0 and they were offering it at 31or so. To bad I missed the days when cars that were the baddest of the bad sold for under 5 grand...

FABO member 'white-night' from Oz has been here in SoCal visiting for the past couple of weeks. Yesterday we stopped at a local Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer so he could pick up some US sales brochures to take back to Oz. He mentioned to the salesman that he was talking to that he's in process of buying a '67 Barracuda over here to take back to Oz and the salesman volunteered the fact that the SRT 'Cuda will be out as a 2015 model year offering.
Looks like it's going to happen.

I think some of you are missing it, the SRT Cuda is NOT supposed to compete with the SS Camaro's and the 5.0 mustangs, That is for the current Challenger, IT WILL compete and probably kick the arses of the GT500 mustangs and ZR1 camaro's that is the market they are going after, price out a ZR1 camaro, or a GT 500 then the SRT looks pretty good.

I'll have to see the look of them.... Might buy one if they have a nice look.

a GT500 is nowhere near that price (and with a top speed around 200, you ain't getting anything that will kick its arse for 5 digits).
Don't know about the Camaro, 'cause I wouldn't want one if they were giving them away.

I personally have sworn off any new Chrysler or GM product after the bailouts. I would buy a new mustang but never a new SRT anything. I might buy a used one as the profit from that sale doesn't go to Chrysler or GM. I actually think most of the new Ford stuff is better on their own merits then GM or Chrysler. That ecoboost v6 is a dream. There is a Ford Flex running in the 12's on a tune and all season tires. Put that motor in a Mustang, sell it for under $30K, and you have my next musclecar.

If they really build it it will be neat, but 80K is gonna narrow the buyers pool quickly.

SC 6.2L has been the rumor for months. The $80k price tag is new...and very unikely, IMO.
