Anybody have a place to get one for a 727/904 for the new hemi? Everywhere I have looked/ordered from has refunded my money or told me they can't get them... This is the last piece I need before I can get this project moving forward.

Thanks for any advice.

G'day HemiDart..

Bob Mazzolini sold me his own personal one because he couldn't order one and was told they'd been out of stock for 6 months!!

I think your only chance would be to keep trawling known Mopar re-sellers and hope someone has one on a shelf.

Its ridiculous that MP would let it come to this.....your only other hope is to call MP direct and ask to speak to their sales and marketing Manager.

There's a guy known as "Zippy" on Moparts that appears to have some connections?

I'm confused, why would you want to put a 1965 transmission on a 2005 engine? If you want to actually drive the car, consider putting in a 545 or a Nag. JMO

Cost - I already have a race spec 727
Labour - not really interested in chopping and modding the centre console, tunnel etc
Wastage - I dont want to have a firesale on hardly used trans, converter driveshaft and diff gears
Purpose - my 727 is tuffer, shifts harder, shifts quicker and is more suitable for a street strip car.

Those are my reasons anyhow.....don't know about others.....:thumbrig:

Yes Sir!

I have blown through 4 "545" transmissions with this motor that was in my truck. I believe a 904/727 can be built stronger to handle the HP.

Mine drove fine on 300+ mile road trips....

Yep. Ordered the plate Saturday, ships out Monday and I will be good to go!

Thanks for everyone's input.

If you have it coming from MM, then it sounds like you're good to go. Just an FYI though for anyone in a pinch, I remember early on when people doing these installs were able to just cut the ring gear off the stock gen3 flex plate/ring gear combo and use the flex plate part with a 727 torque converter. It was done MANY times...
