No 1st gear braking is scaring us; Paul Forte told me it is used on the street. Any warriors use it?

You mean no low gear band applied? I used the cope racing one

alot of people use them on the street....

You just got to know your limitations.....

i run a turbo action behind my slant on the street... i like coasting in first...

used a Turbo Action cheetah reverse manual VB from the late 70's through the 80's on all my daily drivers. If I didn't have 4-gear in my cars now I would likely have one in my cars today.

I ran.one in my cuda until I started the restoration. Always loved the 1 st gear coasting and the snapping shifts. If I wasn't doing an overdrive behind the hemi I wouldn't hesitate to throw that tranny back in the car just for the valve body

No problem if you understand that you have to shift out off 1st gear into 2 before you loose Sprague over run clutch.every stop put into 1 st and repeat its like a burn out at track .I left it in 2nd gear most of the time and I beat the hell out it I also removed.governor after it shot through tail stock . 70 dart 440.2"supercomp fender well headers.2.14intake valves 472.312.hi flow cam M1 high rise MP..790cfm holly 72.primary and 355.1.gear Auburn pro diff to 13.5 M.T street. I groove . Rebuild your trans 1 time all the way . Drill case for max oil flow and clutch pack oil holes out to speck. And you will love the fact that only draw back is traction.I did not get any till 30feet or more . Not good in rain . No traction at any speed

been useing one for 25 years.just take your foot off the gas if your shifting next to a cop.:eek:ops:
