The control arm is what is threaded.

How do you know it wasn't pressed, were you standing there?

It may also be screwed up because they used an impact gun on it.

It may just have given up but if they have worked on these since they were new they should know what the standard fix is.

This is why I do all my own work. That way if there is a problem I know what caused it, who did it and if it was done wrong.
