Trans Am racing and early 'Cudas
I've not heard of that, there may be some truth to it but it would be best to track down the rules. My guess is that it had something to do with the seating rather than the shape of the roofline. This rule, if it was, maybe only applied to the Big Bore class?
For the 'sedan' rules - this is probably a reference to 'A' Sedan, an SCCA non-professional class. I'm only aware of one mid-generation Barracuda entered in a Trans-Am race. That would be Gerald Robinson driving in several of the 1970 races, car #29. If you know of any others, or if he raced in the previous years, please share.
Some of the folks who do vintage racing may know the answer - you can follow the link on my home page to Mike Ritz's "Team Starfish" tribute car for example.
