@wheelsup73...... I thought you liked Phoniex tires, not Hoosiers? Nice car and camera work.
I love Sonoma, I lived in Santa Rosa 25 years, owned Vans LTD van shop on SR ave.Gave up Sears point for Spokane Co. Raceway.
Hi Chris, We do love the Phoenix tires . A couple years ago my dart started spinning the tires so I ordered a new set of Phoenix tires and when we went to the track it would not hook at all on the new tires. I called phoenix and they sent me another set. Went back to the track and it still would not hookup so I thought Phoenix had a bad batch of tires and I bought Hoosiers. We went back out to the track on the hoosiers and they spun worst that the Phoenix tires. So I ordered a set of M/Ts and put them on and went to the track and they also spun bad. So now we realize that the Dart had issues. I had a good talk with Lisa's dad (who builds chassis and hot rods and also raced Comp Eliminator for many years) and we watched some video and it looked like the side walls on the tires were being slamed into the ground at the hit and wadding up bad. So he suggested we put tubes and rim screws and go try it again. we went back out to the track with the M/t on with tubes and screws and the car went right on the bumper so problem solved. Since then I have worn out the Phoenix tires and the M./T tires. So I have had a 600.00 set of Hoosiers in my garage and decided to try them again with the tubes and screws and they have hooked hard 6 passes in a row so far.
Take care, Steve
