why do they all have to be finished

I went that route with my hemi coronet and my hemi cuda... and i couldnt enjoy them. I drove them more than most people drive hemis but not as much as i would have liked to. When i built my superbee i took a different approach, i wanted to drive it! So, radials, quick ratio steering, graphite suspension, a nice clean street restoration... and i drove the crap out of it. Since that car, i have built every car that way.
