1985 Monte Carlo SS - 20,500 original miles

I recently purchased this car from the original owner, it has all the documents from when he bought the car at the dealer including the original window sticker, dealer order sheet, dealer inspection sheet and dealer key fob. It has original burgundy paint and burgundy cloth interior, all glass and T-Tops are perfect. I have the original wheels. Actual milage today is 20,296. The car is in my heated garage and covered. Includes the original t-top bags in the trunk and the original GM floormats. The car is 100% rust and dent free and it has NEVER sat outside overnight. This Monte is the nicest one of its kind available anywhere in New England. It runs and drives like a brand new car - not a rattle or squeak anywhere.

Here is why I bought the car - at the 3,500 mile mark the owner pulled the original 305HO engine, the original 200R4 transmission and the original 10-bolt rear end OUT OF THE CAR (I have them safely tucked away and they will go with the car). In their place resides a very strong 383 small block engine (450hp), backed by a very stout 700R4 trans and a Ford 9" rear-end with 3:73's - the entire drivetrain has about 16,000 miles on it. This car FLIES! I found 12 second timeslips in the glove compartment. The original owner is a machinist and by their very nature these guys are fanatically anal about details - this car shows that trait. It has only been driven 1,000 miles in 20 years! It was always started, and run around the block to keep things fresh - the car sounds insane and still has the original mufflers and tail pipes. The engine runs solid lifters, Comp Cam, 800 Holley, Edelbrock Torker intake, Hooker Alum headers, MSD, K&N, etc. AC is all there - looks like a factory install. Trans shifts firm and barks a GREAT 2nd gear, the Ford 9' is well, a Ford 9" - can't kill them. The car will be sold with the original wheels and new 235/60-15 BFG Radial TA's.
