12 Second N/A Slant 6?

I bet they would really zing with a cast crank.

Well, the concensus on V8s on cast cranks is 450 or so HP with a good balance job and a good balancer. Although I've seen people leave on the back bumper with cast cranks. lol I would think with those rods and the light KB pistons it would be light enough with the steel crank. I'm not sure I would want to risk it. You're gonna have a chunk in that motor.

If 450 HP is the threhold then W/300ish N/A HP & a 200 HP shot of giggle gas would be on the threshold or a bit above it.

Hey guys, since I no longer own my Power Wagon #896, I had my username changed to a more "A" Body appropriate moiker.

In lieu of my plans for my '65 Valiant, I changed my username to VIOLENT\6

lol Alright VIOLENT one. Carry on with your bad self.

Dammit. I had forgotten about that. Yeah, you might think about good rod bolts. lol Who you gonna let do the head? I bet Justin could make it haul ***.

i dont know if im gonna redo another head, tweak my current one, or have the monster (for "small bore") head done.

That's why I'm going W/the Molnar rods.

By the time one works over stock 198 rods the cost difference would be minimal.

$456.04 shipped at connecting rods .net.

lol we were talking stock 225 rods. i run 14.25 at 6 grand with stock rod bolts lol... over 100 passes at least.

Yeah but I'm planning on running N/A 12.8s @ 6500 & then throwing a 200 shot @ it to see how close I can get to 10s on the juice.

I think I'ma gunna need some good rods.

7.005" 198 rods are a must to get close enough to the head deck for quench using off the shelf pistons. Guys seem to be mighty proud of them 198 rods these days.

A local guy runs in the 12 second range with his setup. Lots of $$$$ to go that fast. Car weight in the 2400 pound range, 4.56 gears, etc.

Nothing street car about it though....
