Went down to catch a Memorial Cup game in Saskatoon, between Portland Winterhawks and Halifax Mooseheads. This is one of the 1st times in Memorial Cup history that 3 of the top draft pics played in the same game. (Johnathan Druin, Seth Jones and Nate Mackinnon) Mackinnon scored a hat-trick. My hockey idol Wendel Clark's banner was hung in the rafters!! Very cool!! Lotsa bigwigs floating around. I saw NHL coach Bob Hartley, and I believe ex-Leaf Brian McCabe.
Halifax won 7-4.
Oh yeah this is the game where the American national anthem turned into the "Star Mangled Banner"! Poor girl, Alexis Norman was called as a last minute fill-in. In true Canadian style the entire crowd helped her out.
