Help needed, broken oil dipstick tube

Disconnect neg' battery cable. Remove alt slide adjust bolt and rotate alt' approx 180 degrees out of you way.
5/16 standard tap, magnetized , and grease in the flutes. Tap the inside of the broken tube ( long 3/8 drive extension upside down serves as tap driver if needed ). Screw a 3 foot piece of 5/16 all thread in it. Drop a 6 inch piece of black pipe or other heavy tubing over that. Heavy flat washer and nut on the top. You now have a slide hammer tube yanker. Dont let the hand get pinched between the pipe/tubing and flat washer.
