Has you simple car turned into a monster?

I knew this was gonna be a money pit when I signed on. Problem is, I don't have the money, LOL. I've managed to keep most of it fairly "backyard" and "low buck."

One big mistake I made was that the Ferd 9" limited slip got a little loose, and the ring/ pinion was always noisy. I had bought a used 3.70 "open" 3rd member, and it looked OK, so I put it in. Ran nice, but turned out it was used by a mudder or burnout specialist, and the spiders were on the verge.

Just now, and I mean just now, I got the "rebuilt" member tossed back in with new clutches in the trac-lok. It's not "done" but it's in and the lube is in it.

So sometimes "low buck" can bit back. Even so, "we" have fun.
