Low deck 400 block; 426 Hemi heads (yes, I said Hemi heads) 500+cid stroker, plus a 300hp shot of nitrous.
Ran hard enough to set and hold the local Pro Stock record at Eddyville (IA) Dragway for a long time...
Charlie Malyuke (R.I.P.) built that car from a wreck, built the tube chassis, and modified a 400 block to accept 426 Hemi heads, took about 3" (vertically) out of the body sheetmetal, and pinched the nose and tail about 3". Glidden looked at it at Indy, and asked "Who built this car?" Charlie said, "I did." Glidden smiled and said, "Nice car!" :)
