Tubular UCA fitment questions

Before I trim the metal, I just wanted to get some opinions.

The rundown: 1973 Dart Sport 340, I am putting it together to move it to my new house. Figured it was a great time to see how my new parts look! Lol

The part, or rather, installation, involves the ucas I got from Badart (Dillinger Chassis) and my uca mounts. The parts are awesome! I have no problem with the arms, the quality is superb, and John is a great guy.

Here goes. Has anyone run into a problem installing aftermarket arms, that hit a part of the mount that is folded forward? Mine, when bolted in, hit a part of the mount, and are basically stuck up in the air, about 2" or so above the rubber bumper. If I trimmed the peice they hit a little bit, it looks like they would clear fine.

The section in question is the front portion of the control arm, at the rear of the bushing. It is the same on both sides. I circled it in the pic.

Also, is it just me, or is the uca rubber bumper mount a little wide? I made lines near it in the pic.

I don't have any other a-bodies around at the moment to compare it to, and I would rather not guess and cut, and make the wrong move.

Thanks for any help! Btw, I followed the instructions included to the letter, and even tried installing them every other possible way. No luck.
