Pulling the engine
Depends on whether you "need" to do trans work. I have a 727, so a little bulkier, here's what I do.............
Disconnect, etc, (I have a hoist), and for me, hard to reach rear bell bolts. So I pull rear crossmember bolts, and let down the tail some on a jack. That gives me room to pull all except the two large bell bolts on the bottom.
Then jack tail back up and stick a couple of crossmember bolts back in.
Now take a ratchet strap and tighten up under the bell , with the strap around the T bars. When you lift the engine with the hoist, tight the strap. Be sure to unbolt the converter, make a "clip" to insure the converter does not fall out.
Last time I did this, didn't even remove the hood.
