Smokes

I still have the nasty habit......Have quit a few times, up to a year, but ended up breaking down after gaining 30lbs. I know I need to stop and one day soon, I hope too. Since the wife had a partial lung removal in January, you'd think it would be easy........well, it's not. The last few years I did Doral's @ $48.00 a carton. Decided to go to Bailey's out of Va. for $31.99. Figured they would taste nasty and help me quit.....wrong. The're better then the Doral's. With all the stress of her surgery, chemo, rehab and the money issues, they actually keep me from putting a bullet thru my head. I'm down to less then a pack a day now, and I hope i'll get down to zero real soon.

I hear ya, Rick.

There are worse ways of dealing with the stress and not everyone can deal with such a high stress situation as what you're going through.

I think my worst period was 3-4 packs a day.

Down to around 2 packs a day now. Still dwindling it down from there.

Went for a physical back in December. Doctor was more concerned about me losing weight than quitting smoking. His thoughts were that if the smokes helped me in a high stress situation rather than turning to other things, then so be it.
