For the WW2 Vets

Today was the second of three days I am part of the ground crew for one few flying B-17s..

Which one? I bought a ride in the "radio room" of one a while back. As an old guy, when I was a young radio amateur, there was tons of WWII surplus radio gear available, and I am, (or was LOL) familiar with most of it.

I had to explain to one woman that the plexiglass over the waist positions "wasn't there" in WWII, at 20K ft, and -40 with the wind blowing 200 mph.

I told her, "next winter, when its below zero, have your husband take you for a ride in the back of your pickup at about 70. Not even close."
