I'd see what they look like with the plasti dip. Might look great. I've seen low backspace wheels look nice that way. I'd leave the center caps chrome.
I was thinking about a matte black center on my wheels, kinda go with my hood. But since I didn't narrow my axles I ended up with a lot of back spacing and small lip, decided it would look bad and stuck with polished. My rear wheels are 12" wide with 345 wide rubber, but not noticeable unless looking from the rear.
