killer thunderstorm in Abilene TX 06/17

Ouch! We had some crazy wind here too! Trampoline survived though :) I tied it down with three of the deals that you attach a dog chain to. Used a electric impact to screw them into the ground and attached the trampoline with small chain and bolts. Even stayed put through our last hurricane!

As for the garage door, take a hammer and dollie to it and smooth out the dents. No need to spend a grand on a new door! I am really surprised the winds didn't blow that type of door out of its tracks. Happened several times at the dealer I worked for. Destroyed them in seconds!

I have the same type rollup door on my shop too. I drilled holes about every two feet on each side and put pins through the track and door to stop it from flexing enough to pull out of the tracks. Just something to think about in the future. Seems the weather is getting more violent these days!!!

The door fits pretty snug in the tracks, very little side to side play, this is what helped it stay put. The door dent even bent the track its in. Im pretty OCD, i need it replaced. the door dent will drive me nuts. Plus the shop is only a few years old, dont want a dented door on it. Good news is i dont have to buy the drum or hardware, just the door sheet. My contractor who built my shop and put the metal roof on the house said with materials and labor he can prob fix it all for the insurance check amount. I lose my allstate no claim discount. Its only $100, that equates to a premium hike of about $8 a month, not too bad.

No more trampolines, plus i will be using the pipes on future projects i will prob show everybody on FABO.

Glad nothing was damaged out your way, and nobody got hurt. Things can be replaced, loved ones cannot.
