I am thinking that I may use an alternative methor to mount my BB in the drag Demon. What other means are there such as alterkation? Will need steering and will use Aerospace drag brakes. Can use coil over shocks.

lol..

I wasn't joking. This is gonna be a 6 sec (1/8) index car. I could use the K frame out of my parts 67, conversion mounts, and rebuild the worn out steering box. I was just looking to see what others have tried.

LOL, there was a gasser 67 FB fish at the Mopar car show last weekend. Front end was way high and I thought is was goofy looking.

A member here makes a different style k frame but for the life of me I can't think of the members name.

alter-k-tion. can't beat it man..

Here is HemiDenny's latest generation K-member kit in the new
satin black powder coat finish. All HemiDenny K-frames feature
near perfect ackerman, no bump steer and a narrower stock-like
track width that keeps your front wheels tucked up into the wheel
wells as they should be.

This unit fits all A, B and new-gen Hemi powerplants simply by
utilzing the correct spool motor mounts which are made exclusively
for HemiDenny K-frames by Schumacher Creative Services.

A seperate K-frame model allows you to install the classic gen II
(426) Hemi in any '67 and newer A-body Mopar.

All of the conversions are 100% bolt in with no cutting and can be
put completely back to stock if you would ever wish to do so.

Options include, but are not limited to, stabilizer bars made for
HemiDenny by Addco, power steering and RH drive setups.

Other variations (LA super slammer) can support a drastically lower
ride height profile (extreme versions may require tunnel modifications).

I definately like the HemiDenny HDK setup. I don't believe it hangs
down low like the RMS......so Denny won't be advertising it on the
crossmember. That's a good thing.

I have Aerospace brakes and want to keep them. HemiDenny's setup needs rustang II spindles/brakes. The old CAP looked pretty good but when QA1 bought them they stopped welding the arm on the spindles and went to tubular (or stock) LCAs.

Never hurts to talk to Denny and see if he can accommodate you. Just take a look at what he did for johnsparts

Your install and the look of you car in that pic is one of the reasons I went with the RMS for my cuda.

cost???
i think alterkation is about 4,200 and i have to add my own brakes.

FYI...

the bottom of the HDK steering crossbar is 1.75" below the radiator support. The brackets for the rack and pinion mounts are 1.25" below the steering crossbar.

cost??

HDK fabricated pieces.. (and yes, you have to add brakes).....$1900.00
related suspension components needed ........................appx $1125.00
HDK/Schumaker spool mounts..............................................$ 159.00

sub total...............$3184.00

options (other than component choices)
Addco sway bar....................................................................$ 150.00
powder coat ALL fabricated pieces..........................................$ 295.00

NOW the same K will work with any of your popular Mopar powerplants....318, 340/360, 383/440 (B/RB), and the new gen Hemi simply by changing out the HDK/ Schumaker spool mounts ($159 a set / all models)
.
The new gen Hemi mounts work will mount a 6.1 with all the factory components in their stock location (alternator/A/C compressor) including factory Jeep exhaust manifolds. A stock Jeep oil pan will work with no modification, however because of its rear sump extending forward, the optional rear brace cannot be used. The Milodon #31000 center sump works well for incorporating the additional brace. This install does require the oil filter point straight down and not at an angle like some applications (Jeep)

What alternatives to using a K frame?

You could always go "Fred Flintstone" style....
