you cannot run a diesel rich or lean, they dont work that way. I'm betting he hit the juice a little too hard. I've personally only blown out the head gasket on even oring'ed blocks from too much boost and that was 85 psi +
See if I remember this correctly....pull fuel out, less heat is made so boost will be reduced as well? One of the posters on FB claimed it was his...said he had a boat load of boost when it let loose....
