stock manifolds vs 90's magnum manifolds

Is there a noticable difference between stock and later 318 manifolds in how they flow? I have read that the 90's manifolds flow better but would it be worth it to replace my current ones? I dont want to go through the hassle of having to replace my starter with a mini starter just to put on headers.
