More bad news - to make it work properly you will need a transmission from ONLY a 1966-67 Dart or Valiant or Barracuda. The spline and crank issues rule out a 1968 or newer transmission or converter. The slip-joint driveshaft that your car has rules out a '65 or older transmission. Those were also cable-shifted.
