Went to a car show yesterday...

It was a nice day, sunny, maybe 85 degrees, figured it would be a good day for a car show. A local businessman just opened a new restaurant and decided to have a car show to celebrate the grand opening. I must say, I was not impressed. There were maybe 20 cars total, and NONE of them were MOPARs! You had your usual pick of the GM litter of Corvettes, 69 Buick GS, a 72 Monte Carlo, and a 39 Business Coupe. For the Ferds, there was a 65 Mustang 2+2, quite a few deuces, a couple T-buckets, and a sweet 57 T-Bird. The rest were your typical 40s resto-mods that you're not quite sure what they started out as, but have more fiberglass than your typical Vette. We walked through the entire car show in about ten minutes, and then took the kids to play at a local playground. I'm sick of the car shows around here. Ever since Dutch Lichtenberger, the local car show organizer who put together the Mid-States Rod & Custom Nationals, passed away we have not had very many decent car shows around here. Makes me wish I lived closer to Carlisle.
